Sleepy Snoozy Sloth Illustration
This illustration had an usual start- I had found this colour palette first, before I knew what I wanted to do with it. I was looking for any excuse to use these colours together, and often I keep a running mental list of things I’ve wanted to draw in the near future-
So I really just landed on a sloth by chance! The colours were happening either way, this just just how they took shape. A burnt orange, deep green and some lighter grey blues. It had to happen.
It came together with archival ink, with lots of patterns and shading, floral designs and stippling.
The final result was a super high detail sleeping looking little sloth. It’s on 11” x 14”, so thats what I have done for the prints as well.
