Commissioned pieces are limited, as I am only working as an artist as a hobbyist at this stage. I do enjoy creating pieces for people and do put aside some time for this. The prices may not be truly competitive, but as a traditional artist, these take time.
To begin a commission, one of the sizes and styles below needs to be selected. If you have pieces of mine that you like and want to use it as inspiration for something similar, that is incredibly helpful. I’m always open to exploring, but the more of an idea you have about what you like, the better.
Once we both understand what you want, payment is divided into three parts. Each part goes towards the overall payment for the piece.
The first part is paid to reserve your time within my commission schedule. When the scheduled time comes, further discussion may change the total commission fee. All information regarding your commissioned work will be emailed to you as an estimate, to be approved prior to the work beginning.
The second part is paid to bring the deposit up to 50% of the agreed upon priced. Following the second payment, the piece will begin in pencil and will be provided to you for approval. There can be up to three revisions at this stage.
After the approval of this, I will proceed with the ink drawing in my personal style. The ink drawing cannot be erased, and no changes can be made after this step. The only thing that can be altered is the addition of extra ink design or strokes.
The third part is paid after the completion of the work, and prior to the shipment of the original piece. Local pick up is available, but if you’re shipping then the parcel must be tracked.
When you purchase a commissioned drawing from me, you are acquiring the original, one-of-a-kind artwork. This piece is a personal creation made specifically for you, and it will be yours to display and cherish. However, it's important to note that while you own the physical artwork, the rights to reproduce or distribute it in any form remain with me as the artist. This ensures that the integrity and uniqueness of the artwork are preserved.
By retaining the reproduction rights, I protect the creative value of the piece, ensuring it cannot be copied, resold, or used for commercial purposes without my permission. If you're ever interested in using the artwork for promotional or other purposes, I’d be happy to discuss licensing options. This way, we maintain the exclusivity of your original piece while respecting the legal boundaries of artistic ownership.
